This man was forced to call 911 after a 4-hour standoff with an angry cat

Giving cats a bad rap, this one is.

CATS REALLY DON’T care about earning a good name, do they? At least this one doesn’t.

Mohammed Lokman of Stamford, Connecticut was forced to call 911 after a four hour-long standoff with his angry pet cat.

CBS News reports that the cat had had kittens the night before - Lokman said the feline seemed fine when he left the house, but got angry when he tried to get back in.

He was eventually had to call emergency services:

The problem is my cat is getting too aggressive. I was inside and she attacked me, she scratched my leg and bit me. So me and my wife, we came outside and now we can’t get in for like, three, four hours.

“We cannot move. We cannot do anything. It’s so aggressive and so mean,” said Lokman.

The couple was advised to stay away from the cat for as long as possible, but were able to get back into the house after a while.

Lokman told CBS that in the year and a half they’d had the cat, there had never been a problem.

Animal control expert Katina Wargo says the cat was probably in on high alert after having her kittens:

A mom protecting her baby. She probably didn’t realise it was him, or she was on the protective mode.

Four hours. FOUR HOURS. Remind us never to anger a cat.
