WE’RE GETTING CLOSER and closer to the finale of Love Island and it’s an exciting time for Dani and Jack. They’re going to be bagging £50,000 each in a couple of days and they also got to go on a hot air balloon as part of this series set of ‘epic final dates’.
Dani was over the moon:
I’ve never seen a sunrise. Really beautiful. It’s really romantic. I usually just get taken for dinner, babe.
Ah now Dani, it’s not like Jack single-handedly organised this for you. We’re glad they had a good time, though.
The pair of them randomly decided to start screaming “I LOVE YOU!!” off the side of the hot air balloon for a bit of entertainment while they were aboard it. Jack also tells Dani that he was really upset when he went to Casa Amor and they got separated.
There was no way in hell that I was ever going to… I missed you… I was like a lovesick puppy. I wasn’t eating properly. Alex was worried about me. I just missed you. That’s when I realised I loved you. That’s why I told you when I came back.
Things were not so cute on Alex and Alexandra’s date.
Alex² got to go for a spin in a Ferrari, and it was a great way to distract Alex from Alexandra’s existence.
Alexandra expressed how excited she was for her future on the outside with Alex. She said “There’s a little bit of worry inside that when we come out, you know, I don’t know… Are you going to be able to give a little bit more?”
All Alex could muster up in response was a weak “I hope so”, accompanied by a demeanour that screamed “Will you please be quiet? I’m trying to drive a cool car.”
After the date, the lads asked Alex how it went. His response?
The excitement! You know, the drama of it! The exhaust. The wind in your hair.
Josh pointed out that Alex seemed to be on a date with the car, and not the woman in the passenger seat.
Alex also turned to Jack to talk about his relationship with Alexandra.
It’s so hard to explain but I just don’t have the feelings that I feel I should have. On the outside, I do like to take things slower. I wouldn’t want to rush in too quickly.
Well Alex, it’s a good thing you applied for a show that expects contestants to fall in love with someone within eight weeks. Why did we keep this man in the show for this long?
Another highlight of tonight’s episode is the fact that Kaz is considering telling Josh she loves him. Is that genuine, or is this a plan to overtake Dani and Jack at the last hurdle?
