A new over 23s nightclub has opened on Dublin's Leeson Street

Introducing The Amber Rooms.

OVER THE WEEKEND, The Amber Rooms, a new bar and nightclub, opened its doors on Dublin’s Leeson Street.

The new late night spot is located where Idris Elba’s old haunt Buck Whaley’s used to be.

The bar is linked to The Stone Leaf, a restaurant that opened recently in the area.

Their Facebook promises “top DJs, international celebrity guests and live music”

As such, Spin 1038′s Daniella Moyles DJ’d the opening on Saturday night.

And Eoghan McDermott, Elaine Crowley and Thalia Heffernan were among the names in attendance over the weekend.

The main selling point of The Amber Rooms? It’s over 23s only.

Meaning you won’t hear it likened to a creche any time soon.

It also has a snug, but not just any snug – a VIP snug

Whether that will be accessible to us mere plebs remains to be seen.

The Amber Rooms are open every Friday and Saturday from 11pm – 3am.

Let’s hope Idris Elba pays a visit soon.
