Was last night's Bake Off a fix? People seem to think so

One contestant seemed to be given more time.
SPOILERS AHEAD IF you haven’t caught up on The Great British Bake Off semi-final …

It was patisserie week on Great British Bake Off this week. And what a stressful affair it was as we watched Ruby, Briony, Rahul and Kim Joy sweat off French pastries.

The bakers faced a multitude of challenges – delicate French tarts! Mille feuille! Chocolate mousse! Mirror glazes!!!

Now, it seems all that drama has seeped out of the tent too, with fans calling last night’s episode a fix.

During last night’s Showstopper challenge before the commercial break, Rahul could be seen decorating his bake, after hosts Noel and Sandi called time on the challenge.

Yikes. All is not fair in love and eclairs, it seems.

One Twitter user wrote: “The time had finished yet Rahul was still putting decorations on top of his cake! Seriously!

I used to like him and root for him to win but not anymore! So tilted and stacked for him to win. #GBBO.”

Another added, “How is it #Rahul gets away with still decorating his bakes after they are told to stop! Twice I’ve seen him doing it tonight… #GBBO”.

It didn’t seem to be a massive issues for judges Paul and Prue or the producers, as Rahul coasted through to the final, while fans said goodbye to Briony. Maybe it was simply a case of clever editing?

Next week, the bakers are ditching the tent altogether and holding the final OUTSIDE of the tent. In fact (hope you’re sitting down for this), the finalists won’t even be using ovens.

Must be a Rice Krispie cake themed final, by the sounds of it.
