That viral Black Friday fight video is most likely a big fat fake

A woman snatched a vegetable steamer from a kid in the shocking clip.

WELL, WE MADE it past Black Friday all in one piece. While the notorious shopping day hasn’t quite sent Ireland crazy, the States is a different picture altogether.

This video of a woman who appears to steal vegetable steamers from a little boy went viral yesterday among the reports of the shopping frenzy and stampedes.

The video was posted to YouTube by a user called BlackFriday Fight who says:

Im posting anonymous because I don want 2b fired, but I work at this store in saginaw and this lady stole a veggie steamer from a KID on black friday! Shame.

But despite having over 4.8 million views, the video was posted on November 26, the day before Black Friday.

The video was widely shared as taking place yesterday, but could have been filmed if the shop opened early. Still, myth debunkers Snopes looked into it a bit more.

We searched for major chain store deals on vegetable steamers in 2015, but were unable to locate any incredible deals matching vegetable steaming gadgets in any big box stores.

They also point out that the woman and her child come from a completely opposite direction of the footfall.

Some commenters also have their suspicions, pointing out that the woman robs the kid’s box despite two on the floor in front of her.

Many have begun speculating a bigger picture, with the name Jimmy Kimmel dropped quite a bit.

The plot. It thickens.
