Brian McFadden got a hair transplant and shared all the gory details on Instagram

Best not to look if you’re very squeamish.

BACK WHEN HE was in Westlife, Brian McFadden was known for his blond curtains.

Iconic hairstyle.

These days he’s not as blessed, follicle-wise, and opted to get a hair transplant to restore his locks to their former glory.

The last few years my hairline has been thinning and receding due to my lifestyle and general stresses we go through in life. It’s been really making me self-conscious and uncomfortable so I decided to do something about it.

It being 2018, he documented the procedure with videos and photos on Instagram, from getting his head shaved Peaky Blinders style pre-transplant to the finished product, seven hours later.

He even joked that he might return to the curtains once it’s all grown back:

It is a strange feeling but I’m really excited to see what it’s gonna be like… I’m gonna be like the old McDonald’s sign again.

People are praising him for being so transparent about the procedure, unlike other celebrities who get it done in secret.

He’s certainly not afraid to have a little joke about it, either:

We’re gonna hold him to that ‘McDonald’s sign’ statement. It’s about time curtains got their day in the sun again.
