Released in October 1998, the high-school inspired video caused somewhat of a furore, both here and in the singer’s native US, where more conservative folk wrung their hands numb over the schoolgirl outfits, and their implications.
Us? We were transfixed.
We wanted more uniforms, more backflips and more soulful looks at the high school hottie. Sure, this was 100 times more interesting than the schools we had come to know.
