A MAN IS being treated for serious injuries at Dublin’s St James’s Hospital this evening, after an apparent assault on the city’s Aston Quay.

It’s believed the man, aged in his 30s, was pushed in front of a Dublin Bus.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm this evening. Gardaí and other emergency services attended the scene, and a number of witnesses have been interviewed.

The area has been sealed off, and the double-decker bus remains in situ this evening.

The garda spokesperson said no arrests had been made in connection with the incident, and that anyone with information was being encouraged to come forward.

It’s understood the incident is being investigated as an assault, not as a road traffic collision.

Officers at Pearse Street can be reached on 01 666 9082.
