win or lose

Westlife, Kate Beckinsale, and Hugh Jackman... it's our celeb winners and losers of the week

Some will win, some will lose.

DailyEdge praises those who rocked the week in celebland, while keeping a watchful eye on those who should just log off forever.

Losers

Rami Malek

Rami had a good week by anyone’s standards. He scooped a Best Actor Golden Globe for his performance in Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, when it was largely tipped to go to Bradley Cooper. He’s now well in the race to the Oscar.

However, I’ve had to make him a loser this week. Why? Well, this mortifying moment with Nicole Kidman of course. She completely blanked him when he went on stage to celebrate winning the Best Motion Picture, Drama, category.

When he tried to greet the presenter of the globe, she turned her back on him.

Oh, morts. Rami explained it all on Jimmy Kimmel though, so don’t feel too bad for him.

Spencer Matthews

Vogue and Spencer’s e4 show went down well this week. It’s all about the lead up and aftermath to the birth of their son, Theodore, last year.

However, Spencer admitted that he refused to give his wife a lengthy ride while she was past her due date. Vogue also said he was ‘quick and efficient’ when it comes to matters under the sheets. Not exactly a raving review, mate?

Winners

Kate Beckinsale

Kate is a winner most weeks, but this week she’s a winner thanks to her response to a fan who warned her not to date Pete Davidson. There have been rumours that the two left the Golden Globes together, and one fan wasn’t happy.

Kate posted a photo of her mother on Instagram, and prompted this exchange.

A master class in avoiding the issue.

Westlife

The lads are back together and having a pretty good week. Their new single, co written by Ed Sheeran, seems to be going down well with fans. They also made their first TV appearance in eight years last night on Graham Norton.

Roll on Croker, eh?

Hugh Jackman

Hugh is a winner for this, and this only.
