EVERYONE’S FAVOURITE TWEETING astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield will finally be making his way to Irish shores next month.

He won our hearts when he tweeted beautiful photos of Ireland from space, including this one of Dublin at night:

Cmdr Hadfield will hit Easons on O’Connell Street at noon on December 14th to sign copies of his new book, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.

He’ll be popping into Trinity beforehand too, presumably to check out where his daughter Kristin has been studying.

Hadfield isn’t shy about his fondness for Ireland, and was awarded a Lord Mayor’s Award for tweeting as Gaeilge. Here he is singing Danny Boy after celebrating St Patrick’s Day on the ISS:

And if you can’t get to see him next month, don’t worry – he’s coming back to attend the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in January. Phew.
