VIDEO: Your weekend movies… Long Walk to Freedom

Cinema trip this weekend? brings you snippets from new releases to help you decide where to put your money…

WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?

We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.

Age of Uprising

(aftermovie official/YouTube)

For fans of: The Mikkelsen brothers

Avoid if: You prefer Borgen

This Mads Mikkelsen-starring film is based on a novella set in the 16th century, but being honest it looks a bit naff. Pity, as Mads Mikkelsen is a fine actor.

Mandela – Long Walk to Freedom

For fans of: The great man himself

Avoid if: You have no sense

This biopic tells the story of the late Nelson Mandela (played by Idris Elba), his activism, struggles and subsequent imprisonment. His fight against apartheid is bound to inspire.

Last Vegas

For fans of: Aul fellas

Avoid if: You’re not a fan of bachelor parties

What happens when you get married late in life, and try to hold a stag party with your not-so-sprightly friends? This bizarre comedy… It’s a little unfortunate seeing these fine actors in a film like this, to be honest.
