A group of Connacht rugby players visited a hospice in Galway for Valentine's Day

CONNACHT SCRAPED PAST the Dragons in their Pro12 fixture at the Sportsground in Galway last night.

But earlier in the day, more serious off field matters were brought to people’s attention when the Galway Hospice shared the most lovely video.

Connacht players Ultan Dillane, Saba Meunargia and James Connolly popped in to visit

It was on Valentine’s Day as well, as the hospice wrote on Facebook yesterday:

This year, Valentine’s Day was particularly special at Galway Hospice. Saba Meunargia, James Connolly and Ultan Dillane of Connacht Rugby kindly took time out of their busy schedules to visit patients and wish them a happy Valentine’s Day.
They made so many of us smile when they visited Galway Hospice this week for Valentine’s Day. Thank you, our friends and supporters.

And the photos they shared were lovely as well.

“Eileen Everton’s smile brightened our visitors’ day”

It wasn’t their first time in:

The three friends gifted patients and family members with flowers and chocolates, spending time with each person they visited. Frequent visitors to Galway Hospice, Saba, James and Ultan also reconnected with those they had visited previously.

What a wonderful gesture.
