Tonight, on the Nine O’Clock News on RTÉ One, all the contestants of this year’s event tried to lift our beloved host Daithi O’Se. It did not go well:

Where was the coordination? This clearly lacked planning.
When you’re going to lift a much-liked TV presenter, there needs to be some counting before it, at the very least.
It was a nice way to kick off the week though, and people noticed
As the whole show got on the road, the Roses were seen chasing Daithi on the news – as you do
But there was only one thing to take away from the informative broadcast
We can only hope that they can keep this level of cringeworthy comedy up when we go into the big time next Monday.
