Down with the kids: Barack Obama slow-jams the news

What’s that then?

COMING OFF THE back of two singing outbursts – to Al Green and with Mick Jagger and BB King - in the past few months, Barack Obama continues in his attempts to prove he has swag (or whatever the kids want him to have these days).

In his latest move, the US President joined Jimmy Fallon on stage at NBC’s Late Night to ‘slow jam the news’. Apparently that means to have a serious conversation about the day’s news – yesterday it was the interest rate on student loans – while a cool jazz band, the Roots, produces R&B sounds.
