Dublin turned a bit nightmareish during the solar eclipse - here's a timelapse

Not that much, it turns out.

HERE IN IRELAND, today’s solar eclipse was – given the cloudy weather – a bit of an anti-climax.

In lieu of watching an actual eclipse, many Irish Twitter users amused themselves by posting pictures of the sunless sky:

Nothing says it better than this hopeful time-lapse video by Piers Scott, which didn’t catch the eclipse, but instead the gradual darkening of Dublin city.

At around 30 seconds in, the skies become an angry grey, drivers flick their headlights on, and… That’s it. Eclipse over.
