dyson airwrap

Will you be buying Dyson's snazzy new hair tool that comes with a fairly hefty price tag?

Will it be making its way on to your Christmas list?

DYSON’S REVOLUTIONARY straightener/curler/hairdryer hybrid is setting social media alight.

The Dyson Airwrap styler uses jets of air to allow you to achieve “voluminous curls, natural waves and smooth blow-dry finishes” at home. Intriguing, right?

As with all Dyson products, there’s a load of science involved that I’m not sure anyone is too pushed about getting in to. Basically, they claim to have created a styler that delivers all of the above with minimal heat damage because of its special motor.

“We have been obsessively manipulating airflow for more than 25 years. It is one of our core expertise,” James Dyson, Founder & Inventor said.

“Harnessing the power of Dyson’s digital motor we have engineered a truly unique styling tool preventing extreme heat damage when styling. I’m immensely proud of what our engineers have achieved.”

Ok, less of that – give me the price breakdown.

  • The Dyson Airwrap Volume + Shape is aimed at people wanting to add body and volume to limp, flat hair”. It comes with a pre-styling dryer, 2 x 30mm barrels, a soft brush and a round brush.
  • The Dyson Airwrap Smooth + Control is aimed at people looking to control and smooth frizz prone hair. It comes with a pre-styling dryer, 2 x 30mm barrels, 2 x 40mm barrels and a firm brush.
  • The Dyson Airwrap Complete is aimed at all hair types and comes with every component listed above.

All three sets will set you back €499 and are available from Arnotts from 18 October.

Any tutorials?

There’s a good few on YouTube already, but they’re all sponsored so you might not be getting a 100% honest take or thorough demonstration of on the product. Just something to bear in mind!

AndreasChoice did a pretty good first impressions video though.

So, will you be asking Santa for this or giving it a miss?
