Eddie Rocket's to create 50 new jobs with new fast-food franchise

Two new restaurants will offer more of a fast-food experience and will be named simply ‘Rocket’s’.

FANS OF IRISH restaurant Eddie Rocket’s are in for some good news.

The chain is set to open two new restaurants – in turn creating 50 new jobs.

The restaurant chain, has announced the launch of ‘Rocket’s', what it is calling “a new dining experience”.

This has already seen the opening of a restaurant in Irish Financial Services Centre earlier this week, with another one set to open in the Jervis Centre next week.

The new restaurants will differ from Ireland’s other 32 other branches in that they will work in more of a fast-food setting.

Speaking about the new branches, owner of Eddie Rocket’s Ireland, Niall Fortune, said:

Sometimes our customers don’t necessarily have the time to dine in at one of our Eddie Rocket’s restaurants so a trip to Rocket’s gives them the opportunity to still enjoy our offering but in a faster setting.

It will also include a number of varieties on the traditional menu, including a ‘Bubble Dog’ (hot-dog and prosecco) and smaller versions of their traditional hamburgers.

Growth

The restaurant group is pretty optimistic about its potential growth. By 2018 they aim to triple their number of stores – aiming to have more than 100 branches in Ireland and around Europe.

By the end of this year, the restaurant estimates that they will have sold 2 million hamburgers, 1.5 million milkshakes and over 1,000 tonnes of French fries.
