Watch out Caroline Flack, Laura Whitmore is after your job. It looks like the X Factor’s aftershow, the Xtra Factor, may be getting a bit of a shake-up. Irish presenter Laura Whitmore and former contestant Rylan Clarke were screen-tested as potential hosts, according to The Mirror.
Current hosts Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson are in job limbo at the moment. But it’s not the first time Whitmore took over from Flacky, stepping in to present the I’m A Celebrity spin-off when Caroline left.

Saoirse Ronan’s da says she almost missed out on her Oscar nomination. Paul Ronan said it was a close call for Saoirse when it came to selecting a role in Atonement, which earned her a nomination for best supporting actress at just 13.
Speaking to The Herald, Paul said:
We had another film which was a larger budget film and a much bigger role. But we were talking to the agent and looking at the script and thinking ‘It’s a better deal and a better role for her’.
Well thank God for that, eh?
