AS WE SAW last week, former US Vice President Joe Biden has been bringing out the crowds on a whistle-stop tour of Ireland – from Mayo to Trinity College.
Over the weekend, he stopped by the Áras to pay a visit to President Michael D Higgins.
And the pair posed for a lovely photo together
But as photographer Paul Reynolds noticed on Twitter, the most interesting thing happening in the photo was in the background. Namely, the Sabina and Michael D figurines on the table
Look at them there
Some important questions:
- Who made these little masterpieces?
- What’s the story with the parrot in front?
- Could it possibly be a reference to this famous budgie spotted with the President last year?
- What are the back stories of the other creatures present?
- Why does Michael D’s cardigan go all the way to his feet?
The official President of Ireland social media accounts shared the photo from the meeting yesterday, and people thought it was just a nice moment
But now we know that one of the tables in the Áras casually has these two little Presidential figures on it
Next thing we’ll discover that the tea is served from a Michael Tea Higgins-covered teapot
