THE SECOND LAST episode of this series of Gogglebox Ireland hit TV3 last night, and the cast was in fine form.
Especially so when the Brennan brothers popped up on this week’s At Your Service.
They were down in Wexford to handle the refurbishment of a B&B, where the owner hated the internet and didn’t want to take bookings online.
Which went down well with everyone watching.
But it was when Francis hit the screen that everyone brightened up
“There’s your pal, you love him”
“Francis looks like he’s walking on clouds, always”

At one stage, you could hear someone in the background just roar out:
I LOVE FRANCIS BRENNAN
The Tully twins aren’t convinced of their national treasure status yet, though:
“These gobshites”
The gaff was a little rundown when we first see it:
Only one man for the job:
“Francis Brennan would have a field day with this place”
“The place is a… kip”
When they finally meet the owner, shield your eyes:
“These boys are going to savage her”
And savage her they did – in the quintessentially polite Francis Brennan style:
“The drink from last night is still out… Francis is going to go mad”
Once Francis got going on the details, there was no stopping him:
“I’d say he’s a cantankerous auld bastard”
Yes, but that’s why we love him.
Some of his lines had the Gogglebox crew in stitches
At the end, there was a Shamanic festival held by the owner to bring positive vibes to the new building – and Francis was straight in there:
“Oh Lord, here’s the sages out”
It was telly gold.
Just for this facial expression alone:
They’d seen it all:
“Francis Brennan is in a Shamanic ceremony? Stop the world, I want to get off. I’m done now.”
