12 most excellent moments from the Golden Globes

Will Ferrell, Jodie Foster, ‘drunk’ Glenn Close… and lots and lots of Tina and Amy.

HOLLYWOOD GOT OUT its good frock last night for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards in LA.

You can see everyone who won here. But more importantly, we’ve collected 12 of the deadliest moments from the ceremony. It was fun-packed:

1. Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig do ‘film reviews’

After watching all the films they were supposed to watch.

2. ‘Look how drunk Glenn Close is’

This is the best reaction shot ever. Glenn Close is our new hero.

OK kids, she wasn’t actually drunk. Just pretending.

3. Lindsay Lohan live-tweeting the whole thing

Ben Affleck? “Smart and classic”.

Tina and Amy? “2 amazing women who are people i admire”.

Meryl Streep? “No1 should ever mess with a legend”.

But:

4. Putting the burn on James Cameron

Amy Poehler on Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow:

I haven’t been following the controversy over Zero Dark Thirty, but when it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.

5. Bill Clinton!

Talking about  a president’s “unsavoury deals”. Um. Play the saxophone or something, Bill!

Also when Amy Poehler refers to him as “Hillary’s husband”.

6. Lena Dunham’s little face

Did you know she’s friends with P Diddy?

7. Daniel Day-Lewis doing the ET finger

Here’s how good Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are: this is the only time Daniel Day-Lewis has ever laughed.

8. The Downton Abbey guy’s wife’s outfit

That’s Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey, and his wife Emma Kitchener.

She wins all the awards.

9. Adele saying ‘Oh my GAWD’ about a million times

In her acceptance speech for Best Song. SO EXCITED.

Bonus points for Jon Bon Jovi’s patronising laugh at 2.26.

10. Quentin Tarantino being introduced by Tina Fey as “the star of all my sexual nightmares”

And his gracious (or just confused?) reaction.

11. Brody from Homeland lobbing the gob on his award

We said NO TONGUES, Damian Lewis. NO TONGUES.

12. Jodie Foster’s moving/baffling speech

She came out, she announced her retirement (sort 0f), she rambled a bit. Basically, she was totally amazing.

We love you, Jodie Foster. (Almost as much as we love Glenn Close.)
