INDIEWIRE HAVE PUT together an interesting infographic showing the state of women directors in the studio system. The results are quite depressing, and show that women sit on less than five percent of Hollywood’s director chairs.

What’s more, in 85 years, a woman has only been nominated for a Best Director Oscar four times. Kathryn Bigelow became the first and only woman to actually win an Oscar for Best Director in 2010.
