Irish dancers from Mayo and Dublin had a grand aul sesh on the Great Wall of China

Amazing.

AS FAR AS féis settings go, the Great Wall of China is pretty much the ultimate backdrop to an aul jig.

Culture Ireland sent a crew of Irish dancers and musicians from Dublin and Mayo over to China to spread our lovely culture, and they hit one of the country’s biggest landmarks to do it.

Dancers Jack Quinn, Aideen O’Connell, Eimear O’Connell, and Jordan McCormick gave an impromptu performance to Eddie Kavanagh on the bodhrán and Éaodaoin Ní Mhaicín on the fiddle.

The video has been liked over a thousand times and viewed 23,000 times since it was posted yesterday.
