AWARD-WINNING IRISH designer Philip Treacy has been named as the official milliner of the upcoming wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Treacy has a standing relationship with the royal family, having designed for the Duchess of Cornwall, Princessess Beatrice and Eugenie, and even Kate herself, reports Hello magazine.

The hat designer has also designed headwear for stars like Lady Gaga and Sarah Jessica Parker.
