An Irish newsreader got the giggles while reading out this ridiculous local story on Scottish TV

You can’t blame him.

“A NUDE PENSIONER terrorised guests and staff at a luxury resort hotel by brandishing scissors during a drunken rampage…”

Irish journalist Nick Sheridan – who currently works as a newsreader for Scottish channel STV2 – tried his very best to get through this ludicrous local news story on air this week, but it finally got the better of him.

And the clip of him getting the giggles is a joy to behold

Keeping his concentration and not completely losing the run of himself halfway through took a herculean effort on Nick’s part.

You could see him looking down and trying to gather his thoughts

“Please, no, not on live TV.”

And getting through the final “Scotch Broth Championships” phrase was nothing short of a miracle

STV 2 shared the moment on Facebook this afternoon and people are in love with how Nick kept himself together when faced with such an objectively hilarious set of circumstances.

What a pro.
