REMEMBER WHEN YOU did something funny or interesting in school, and everybody asked you to keep doing it over and over again until the joke was driven into the ground and every ounce of your enjoyment of whatever it was ended up completely destroyed?
Imagine that, but with the whole world, rather than a classroom of 20-30 children. It’d be fairly annoying. So you can probably empathise with Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch, who has been killing it on Dancing With The Stars alongside her partner Keo Motsepe.
Between shows, Evanna has been doing some promotional work.
Including a trip to The Ellen Show to hang out with the producers. The conversation ultimately turned to a topic which Evanna Lynch has spoken extensively about over the last few years: her relationship with JK Rowling prior to being cast as Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter.
Yes, I was [pen-pals with JK Rowling]. I wrote to her when I was like 10/11. I don’t know how it got to her publisher, but she got the letter. I got a handwritten letter back and we kept writing to each other for a few years and she was really supportive when I was sick. She was amazing. Obviously I met her when I got the role, and we do still write letters now. Not as often, maybe once or twice a year.
After that, Evanna took part in a Harry Potter themed game of ‘Heads Up’.
It’s no surprise that Evanna did very well on the Harry Potter quiz. We truly admire her patience and wish her the best over the next few weeks of Dancing With The Stars.
