A handy (and definitive) list of Jenna Marbles' greatest YouTube uploads

‘Unless I’ve just scored a touchdown for our flag football team, don’t slap my ass.”

BACK IN 2010, Jenna Marbles, also known as Jenna Mourey, uploaded a video to YouTube entitled ‘How To Trick People Into Thinking You’re Good Looking.’

It was grainy, it featured Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up and it went absolutely stratospheric.

At time of writing, it has amassed more than 67 million views, contributing somewhat to the 2.6 billion views Jenna’s YouTube channel has attracted over the last eight years.

And with 18 million subscribers worldwide, Jenna’s popularity cannot be underestimated.

But what is it about the Boston University graduate that appeals to so many? Simply put, she’s funny as f*ck.

And here, in no particular order, are the gems of her online career so far.

1. Drunk Make Up Tutorial

If you’ve ever stood bleary-eyed in front of a mirror and attempted to make yourself look presentable for Round 2 of the sesh, this vid is for you.

Here, Jenna takes us through the do’s and dont’s of drunk makeup application, and it’s fair to say we all learned a thing or two.

‘I don’t recommend washing your face because you might drown.

2. What Bitches Wear at the Airport

Airports are stressful, we know this. And while ostensibly it may seem like delays and restrictions are the source of your stress, it’s actually much more likely to be your fellow travellers.

You know the ones; people who act like they’ve never read the rules associated with air travel and have all the time in the world to hold you up.

“Sorry I didn’t put $25 worth of change in my pocket.”

3. Things I Don’t Understand About Girls

From ‘goo hoarding’ to handbag politics, Jenna leaves no stone unturned when discussing the complexity of her sex.

And naturally, she admits she’s guilty of each and every thing she mentions.

‘I carry a sackful of garbage.’

4. Things Boys Don’t Understand

Yes fine, she opted for the fairly tired ‘Men are From Mars; Women are From Venus’ approach here, but it works in this instance… if only for her insights into the multifaceted nature of female prep for a BNO.

And that’s just the starting block for this one.

‘Unless I’ve just scored a touchdown for our flag football team, don’t slap my ass.”

5. Things I’m Bad At As An Adult

This is for anyone who manages to pay rent, deal with bills and hold down a job, but still struggles to speak to people on the phone or purchase anything from the homeware section of their local department store.

By law, you’re an adult, but deep down you still want your mam to make that phone call or buy those curtains for you; Jenna gets it.

‘I’m terrible at answering the door. I will cower in the back of my house and hope they can’t see me through the door.’

6. Unpopular Opinions

Yeah, Jenna’s not here for a certain type of ghost talk, she has some stuff to say about the Kardashian family, and she really likes Ivanka Trump.

Oh, and there’s there’s her distinct interest in Nickelback.

‘I think almond butter tastes like blood.’

And finally, shout out to Ireland.

7. Oops I’m in Ireland

Awarded the James Joyce Award by UCD and the Bram Stoker Award by Trinity back in 2013, Jenna travelled to Ireland to accept the accolades, and documented her time here.

And yes, we’ll let her away with the fact she pronounces Ireland ‘Eye-or-land’.

“Thank you for inviting me to come and kick it and get drunk in your country.”
