JONATHAN VAN NESS is one of life’s good people; simple as.
So, it’s no real surprise that his reaction to hearing he had been nominated for two Emmy Awards was one of the most heartwarming Instagram uploads in days.
The 31-year-old shared footage of the moment he learned that both Queer Eye and Gay of Thrones had been recognised by the entertainment industry.
And honestly, it’s done our hearts good.
The moment I found out about #gayofthrones , we all just had found out about @queereye 4 nominations, all my friends here are so supportive and excited for my success as much as theirs. Gay of Thrones was a baby idea @gibblertron and I had that literally was a pipe dream. This is incredible, so many thanks so much love, here is to all our dreams.

Queer Eye has been nominated in the series, casting, cinematography, and editing categories while Jonathan’s Funny or Die webseries has been nominated for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series.
Speaking to ET, Jonathan sounded genuinely overwhelmed by the announcement.
I’m just so excited and really grateful. I can’t hear it said back to me and not cry. As a group, we’re just all so proud. This has been the most incredible, amazing day. I’m over the moon.
