Jonny Cooper releases a statement on his knife attack

The Dublin defender says “this can be a lesson that when you’re out, stay safe and stick together.”

DUBLIN FOOTBALLER Jonny Cooper has released a statement 10 days after he was a victim of an unprovoked knife attack in the capital.

The 24-year-old thanked those who helped him on the night of his attack and added that the support he received over the last week has been “incredibly humbling.”
