IF WEDDING SPEECHES are anything to go by, most people’s parents tend to fall into one of two categories.
They either think the sun shines out of your ar*e and grab every opportunity to say as much, or they see you for the gobshite you actually are and love reminding people of it.
And a recent surprise appearance on American Idol has placed Katy Perry’s parents firmly in the latter camp.
While being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest, the singer’s parents, Mary and Keith Hudson, were only mad to rip it out of her, labelling her ‘mouthy’ and ‘attention-seeking’.
And to be fair, the accusations are hardly news to us, but you’d have thought they’d have reined in it somewhat.
She’s still the burn. She’s still mouthy. She’s the middle child, they always want the most attention.
Defending herself from the stage, Katy suggested she inherited those particular traits of her parents.
