A petition to replace Kevin Spacey with Kevin James in House Of Cards is getting a crazy amount of signatures

“This just makes sense.”

NETFLIX CUT ALL ties with actor Kevin Spacey following multiple accusations of sexual harassment or abuse.

The network insisted it would not remain involved with House Of Cards if the actor remains on the show. (Spacey plays US president Frank Underwood in the series).

The network suspended production of the upcoming sixth and final season of the hit drama earlier this week, after CNN has reported that eight current or former House Of Cards workers claim Spacey made the production a “toxic” workplace.

Currently, it’s unclear what will happen to Frank Underwood’s character if Spacey drops out. Some reckon he’ll just meet his grisly end on the show.

Others, however, have a different idea of the acclaimed series should play out.

Robbie Pyma from the Netherlands started a petition on change.org to have Kevin Spacey replaced with … Kevin James.

James’ past acting credits include the lead role in comedy series King Of Queens, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Hastings’ reasoning for initiating the petition is pretty sound though TBH.

Losing a great show is hard, no matter the circumstances. However with hardship come the opportunity for a great show to become one of the greatest television shows of all time.”
I think Kevin James can elevate “House of Cards” to a globally adored franchise like “Game of Thrones” and make the entire world focus on one of the most important Netfix Original series there is.”

At the time of writing, the petition had gotten just under 11,000 signatures of the 15,000 required.

The actor hasn’t responded to the petition yet – we wait with bated breath until he does.
