tuck me in

Little girl writes ridiculously cute letter to rail network that makes her dad late

“I miss my daddy very much because he always used to tuck me into bed.”

THE LESSON IN this is: With kids, everything comes back to Disneyland. Absolutely everything.

Graphic designer Neil Porter shared this letter his six-year-old daughter wrote in frustration to the Southern Rail network in the UK, after he was home late from work yet again.

She writes:

Dear Mr Railway Man, my daddy is always late home and I miss him very much because he always used to tuck me into bed this makes me upset. Please get him home on time.

She then really reveals her hand in the last two lines of the letter.

Daddy says you take all his money, that is why I can’t go to Disneyland. I really want to go to Disneyland.

We see how it is, Ella aged six.

Nevertheless, Southern Rail has responded to the note on Twitter, and apologised to little Ella for the disruptions:

Dad Neil told Metro.co.uk that he pays around £4000 a year to get from East Sussex to Shoreditch in London, where he works:

I just want to get home and see the children before they’re asleep. If Southern Rail can stick to their schedule, maybe I’ll be able to get some quality family time.

Aww. Pull the finger out, Southern Rail.
