This local news story from Kildare about kerbs being 'too high' is brilliant

Won’t somebody PLEASE think of the jockeys.

WITH THE ELECTION just ending today, there are many issues concerning local residents that need to be sorted ASAP.

So, this week in Kildare town, the politicians are thrashing out the big issues:

The full transcript of this heavyweight exchange reads:

Some kerbs in Kildare town are too high, councillor Suzanne Doyle told a recent community meeting. For vertically challenged people, such as the many jockeys and former jockeys who come to the town, it’s a real problem, Doyle reckoned.
But as  council colleague Seán Power pointed out: “I’m sure if the jockeys can get up on a horse, they should have no problem getting up on the kerb.”

Truer words were never spoken.
