MANY YOUNG GIRLS turn to their older sisters for tips and advice on makeup.
But some girls, like Kylie Jenner, turn to their older sisters for a lucrative collaboration on lipkits. That’s right, ‘KKW X KYLIE COSMETICS’ is Kim and Kylie’s long awaited makeup collab.
Two days ago they released this video on Instagram teasing some new shades of lipstick and showcasing the sheer strength of Kylie’s Kylighter.
The video has now been followed up with swatches on Snapchat and the names of each shade. Here’s what you need to know.
The shades are ALL named after Kim
In Kylie’s only other collaboration with a sister (Khloe Kardashian), the Koko collection had some names that were kind of embarrassing to repeat out loud if somebody asked what lipstick you were wearing. They were ‘Okurrr’, ‘Khlo$’, ‘Damn Gina’ and ‘Gorge’ (why did you do that to us Khloe?).
This time around the shades will be called after every name Kim is known as by close family and friends. They’ll be called ‘Kim’, ‘Kimmie’, ‘Kiki’ and ‘Kimberly’.
As the preview suggested above, yes, they’re all going to be nude shades. While the name idea is really cute, it may make it very hard to distinguish between shades.
Kim is very well-known for keeping her lips low-key and letting dramatic eye makeup do the work. With so many bold lipkit colours out already, we are overdue some nudes. Another upside is that it’ll definitely change the Google search results for Kim Kardashian nudes.

How and when they will be available:
They’ll drop on the 25th of April at 3pm PST, which means 10pm next Thursday for those of us in Ireland.
As always, they will be available only from KylieCosmetics.com, and it’s very likely that as usual they will sell out very quickly after they are made available to the public. So be ready.
For anyone who can’t manage to get a hold of them online, let’s just keep our fingers crossed that Penneys start working on a dupe.
