CUPID’S ARROW can strike just about anywhere. Even the queue for the till in Lidl, which as we all know is hell on earth.
Yesterday, an admin for the Facebook group You Know You’re From Dun Laoghaire When… shared a message on behalf of a female member.
The woman had been shopping in Lidl in Deansgrange that afternoon when she got chatting with a man in the queue behind her. She felt there was a little spark between them, but didn’t get the chance to ask him out:
You purchased cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and water. I’m the lady that let you ahead of me in the queue and we exchanged a few words. I wish I’d had the courage to find out if you were single without coming across as completely deranged.
She asked anyone who might know the feta cheese lover, who had a tattoo on his left arm, to contact the group’s admin.
The post was brought to Lidl’s attention on Twitter, and they’ve put it out to their 76,000 followers:
