M11 reopens after serious crash causes hours of gridlock

The collision caused significant knock-on traffic problems in the surrounding area, particularly Bray town.

THE M11 HAS reopened after a crash caused traffic chaos in the area.

A motorcyclist is believed to have been seriously injured.

Significant traffic problems were reported in south Dublin and north Co Wicklow following the collision between junctions 16 and 17 of the M50.

Gardaí closed an entire northbound section of the Wexford-Dublin road before the M50 merge as a result.

The motorway reopened as planned this afternoon at 4pm, and after some initial delays traffic is said to be moving well.
