A man found a woman's lost phone and swiped right for himself on her Tinder

Erm…

DO YOU BELIEVE in serendipity? This lad seems to.

Monica Cook from Edgecliffe, Australia left her phone on a train earlier this week – it was found by an eager man called Luke, who guessed her passcode and updated her Facebook status to inform her he’d found the phone.

Oh, and ask her out, too.

I found your phone on the train, you should really change your unlock password as it was an easy guess. Nice profile pic by the way :) I’m going to leave [your money and credit card] there for you but will put my business card in there as well ;) I’ve updated your status so you know your phone is safe and in good (looking) hands, plus this is something to laugh about later over a drink…

And then came the clincher.

Oh I also went on to your Tinder and swiped right on Luke so you can check out the profile of the honest guy who found your phone and handed it in at Town Hall Station.

A staggering majority of Cook’s friends urged her to take up Luke’s offer of a drink, with just one opining that it was “a little creepy” (a little?).

As for Cook herself? She picked up the phone yesterday and while she’s a little “weirded out” by Luke’s means, she said she may consider going for a drink with him.

We can’t decide, so we’re asking you - was this a smooth move, or creepy as hell?
