YOU’D EXPECT THE rich and famous to be necking champagne but Irish lager? Not really.
Actress Margot Robbie was on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show last night to chat about her new film I, Tonya – Chris Pratt was acting as guest host while Jimmy is off on holidays.
In the middle of the interview, Margot was presented with three bottles of beer so she could demonstrate her neat little trick of opening one bottle with another.
That beer? Dundalk’s own Harp.
Random enough, eh?
Maybe this is a sign that Harp is the hip new beer of the moment over in California. We may never truly know.
The lager was produced in Co Louth’s Great Northern Brewery for years until it shut up shop in 2013 – it’s now made in Dublin, but Dundalk will always be its spiritual home.
