McDonald's is now selling macarons and they need to come to Ireland

Now.

THE ICONIC FRENCH cookie that is the macaron – not to be confused with the equally delicious macaroon – has many fans in Ireland.

Which is why the fancy French macaron store that opened last year in Dublin was welcomed with open arms.

And as Delish dicovered this week, McDonald’s in South Korea has started serving macarons – and delivering them

The macaron is a staple of McD’s in its spiritual home of France

Could this mean they’re about to start wheeling this sweet treat out to other countries?

If so, we’d all like Ireland to be top of that particular list

They come in gorgeous caramel, vanilla, raspberry and chocolate flavours

McDonald’s even announced earlier this year that there would be table service by the end of 2016.

Macarons would be the next logicial step in this fancy new direction.
