THIS WEEK, ONE of the most viral images across the internet was Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and his smiling dog Lennu.

But two political dogs that have never gone anywhere near as viral live in Áras an Uachtaráin – Michael D’s two Bernese Mountain dogs named Bród and Shadow.
