IT’S OFFICIAL. MICHAEL Fassbender is the most popular Irish actor, pipping the likes of Liam Neeson and Jamie Dornan to the post.
This is all according to the very scientific gauge, IMDb STARmeter. Just what is it about Michael Fassbender that makes him so gosh darn likeable? Let us count the ways.
1. He’s very good at acting
First and foremost, Fassbender is very good at his job. Managing to oscillate between big-budget blockbusters (Prometheus, X-Men) and more arty fare (Shame, Frank, Fish Tank) is no mean feat, but Fassbender strikes the balance and manages to pick up Oscar nominations along the way.
Good man yourself.
2. He’s a big ride
Stating the obvious, but Fassbender is genetically #blessed. He makes women the world over weak at the knees.
3. He brought his Ma to the Oscars

4. He seems like good craic
Anyone who has caught his appearances on talk shows will agree that not only does Fassbender seem like a laugh, but he seems like he would be an amazing wedding guest. Just look at him absolutely giving it socks in this performance of Twist And Shout.

5. He’s got control of his ego
When you reach Fassbender’s stature, it becomes easy to lose the run of yourself. Or get a bit, shall we say, up yourself. Not our Michael, though.
