Middleton family take action over embarrassing and revealing photos

Embarrassing photographs of sister Pippa and brother James had turned up on American websites whilst the Middletons aren’t happy about photographs that appeared in the British tabloids over the weekend.

EMBARRASSING PHOTOGRAPHS OF the Middleton siblings have been taken off the market in the US but only after they appeared on numerous websites. Separately the Middleton family have complained to the British press watchdog over photos that appeared in the Sunday tabloids.

Pippa and James Middleton, siblings of newly-wed Kate Middleton have become famous worldwide after their starring roles in last week’s royal wedding but that has come at a cost with embarrassing photos of them appearing online.

In one of the images the bridesmaid Pippa, 27, is seen wearing only a bra and short skirt as she dances with a man who is wearing only boxer shorts.

In another photo her 23-year-0ld brother James, who gave a reading at the wedding, is seen completely naked but sitting down with his legs crossed.

A friend of the Middletons has told The Telegraph that the family are “furious at what they see as a betrayal”.

It is understood that the pictures were sold by friends of the pair for large sums of money to photographic agencies in the US but have since been taken off the market after pressure from the family.

Separately, the media commentator Roy Greenslade writes that the Middleton family are to complain to the UK Press Complaints Commission (PCC) over photographs published in yesterday’s News of the World and Daily Mail.

The pictures show Kate, Pippa, and their mother Carole all in bikinis aboard a yacht moored off the coast of Ibiza in 2006. One of the News of the World’s headlines under the spread of photographs reads “So hot she had to be hosed down!” showing Pippa in the act of removing her bikini top.

The story has been taken down from the News of the World’s website with Greenslade reporting that the Middletons will complain to the PCC on the grounds that the five-year-old images are an invasion of privacy and thus breach the editor’s code of conduct.
