UK mother Terry Evans was so angry at her son for ‘bullying’ a classmate that she decided to very publicly decry his actions on Facebook, tagging him in her rant.

“Absolutely disgusted that my 12-year-old son saw fit to purposefully tread on new girl’s foot at school and twist his foot with such force it broke her brand new shoes, causing the heel to snap,” she wrote.

I’ll tell you something Jacob, if you so much as breathe in her or anyone’s direction in a bullying manner I will personally hand you over to their parents for every demeaning chore they see fit for as long as they do… Kiss goodbye to your birthday money as you will be buying the girl a new pair of shoes and a bunch of flowers!

She said she also spoke to him about his behaviour offline, but writing about his misdeeds on Facebook was “nothing in comparison to the humiliation that little girl had to face walking around with a broken shoe and red eyes from crying”.

I don’t much care who doesn’t agree with my parenting style, my son humiliated and embarrassed a girl, regardless of his reasoning that little girl still cried.

According to Metro.co.uk, Evans’ post was shared over 11,200 times before it was deleted after a considerable backlash – while many people praised her ‘fantastic parenting’, several Facebook users criticised her for ‘humiliating’ her son.

She said she initially tagged him in the post so his friends could see that “his actions have consequences” but removed his name once the post went viral.

Do you agree with her method of disciplining her child?
