A LARGE CROWD gathered at Newgrange, County Meath today in a hope to catch a glimpse of the illumination of the tomb’s chamber.
However, luck wasn’t on their side this year, as the sun failed to appear through the blanket of cloud this morning.
RTÉ states that a crowd of 500 people gathered outside the passage tomb this morning.
The event is highly sought after, with a lottery for tickets being held every year, due the the number restrictions that can enter the tomb.
