Niall Horan got hit by a shoe, and Directioners are tearing themselves apart

Online fandom is crazy.

ONE DIRECTION PLAYED a show in Amsterdam last night, and someone threw a shoe at Niall Horan.

It hit him in the knee. (The knee he recently had an operation on.) He appeared to be in pain afterwards.

Afterwards, he took to Twitter and pleaded with fans to stop pelting the band with heavy objects.

And One Direction’s huge online fandom began dominating the internet.

The hashtag #FeelBetterNiall has been trending worldwide since last night, with more than 330,000 tweets in the last 12 hours alone.

Almost 30,000 people have tweeted this video of Niall limping, apparently after being hit, which was captioned “HE CANT BARELY WALK ITS SO SAD ):”

Thousands of fans have been sharing their own emotional tributes to Niall’s bravery.

And simply their own emotions.

There were pleas to the person that threw the shoe.

And also curses at the person who threw the shoe.

And threats, obviously.

But probably the best reaction came from Harry Styles.
