People on Twitter are cracked up at a Gemma Collins interview that went off the rails

Don’t speak to Gemma Collins unless you have read her mysterious book.

GEMMA COLLINS RECENTLY met up with Now Magazine to discuss her new book, ‘The GC: How to Be a Diva’.

Judging from the interview, which has been doing the rounds on Twitter since yesterday afternoon, she has actually hit peak diva.

GC began the interview by demanding to know if Hayley Minn, the journalist she was speaking to, had ‘been briefed’. Despite the fact that Gemma’s book has not been released yet, Gemma expected the journalist to know about all of its contents, back to front.

Minn made it clear that she hadn’t been sent a copy, so it would be helpful if Gemma could tell her a little bit about the book.

Gemma responded:

Have you read it hun? OK, so you’re doing this interview without having done any research or read the book or anything? All these questions need to be about the book and if they haven’t got the book in front of them… Oh, have you been briefed on the book, hun?

Throughout the interview, almost every single question the interviewer asks is met with “Well, you’d know if you had read the book.”

At several points in the interview, it seems like Gemma Collins hadn’t even read the book herself. When asked what kind of advice was in the book, Gemma responded:

Erm… Have they given you any stuff from the book? Then you would know… It’s going to be hard to do this if you don’t know. Basically, it’s a real fun, fun, fun guide to life.

The interviewer presses Gemma, asking what the best advice in the book is. Gemma once again says, “If you read it, you would know, so…”

I think wait until you get a copy and then you’ll be able to embrace the book. It’s hard to do an interview if you haven’t done any research on the book.

Gemma then decided to call an end to the interview, telling the journalist she spoke to, “Darling, don’t worry, we’re going to get the book publishers to send everyone doing an interview the book. Thank you, bye!”

People on Twitter thoroughly enjoyed the whole mess.
