Piers Morgan spent an hour speaking to Harvey Weinstein.

IN AN INTERVIEW published by GQ yesterday, Piers Morgan revealed that he has spoken to Harvey Weinstein since he stepped out of Hollywood.

Weinstein, who has been accused of sexual harassment/assault by over 60 women since last October, has been staying in Arizona where he has been receiving hypnotherapy and attending a sex addiction clinic.

Apparently he has been receiving visitors, because Piers Morgan had a chat with him.

I’ve spoken to Harvey in the clinic in Arizona, for about an hour.

Morgan said that the disgraced film producer is “fighting”, and said that he is a “fascinating character.”

Piers Morgan also said that he’s not surprised about the revelations in Hollywood over the last seven months:

The apocalyptic symptom of the whole thing – the casting couch – finally brought to judgement.I can’t express the same level of shock as some people in Hollywood. Listen, this has been the system since Hollywood existed.
It’s been a moral cesspit since the Twenties, and the idea that Harvey Weinstein is the only villain? Do me a favour.

Referencing Mel Gibson’s 2006 drink-driving arrest where he screamed anti-semitic comments on videotape, Piers Morgan said that Harvey Weinstein does not seem too worried:

Look at Mel Gibson: ultimately Harvey believes he will be forgiven.

Indeed, Mel Gibson was forgiven, as he was nominated for Best Director at the Oscars for Hacksaw Ridge. Gibson has that it’s “not fair” that people still bring up that time that he claimed that “The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”

Others bring it up, which I find kind of annoying, because I don’t understand why after 10 years it’s any kind of issue.

Only time will tell if Harvey Weinstein will be saying that he finds it “kind of annoying” that people keep bringing up 2017 to him in a decade or two.
