IMAGINE COMING DOWN to your kitchen of a winter’s morn and seeing this?
The nightmare was a reality for one Taiwanese woman, who discovered all her plates had toppled over inside her press, sure to come crashing down the second she opened the door. Quite the pickle.
She posted the picture to the Facebook page Baolaoi Commune with the caption “A cupboard that can never be opened”, asking how she might prevent all her plates from smashing.
The post was shared hundreds of times, and people quickly came to her aid. There was some practical advice:
Tilt the cupboard backwards, then open.
Put some thick blankets on the floor before opening the door; or ask someone to hold a blanket tightly to catch the falling plates.
But most people just agree she’s screwed. Smash smash smash!
Sell it to an art gallery and name it the ‘Frozen In Time’ series.
Tape the cupboard up, then leave it for your grandchildren to deal with.
A friend later confirmed to the Daily Mail that the woman had managed to open the press and save all her plates – but what would you do?
