Playboy suing Harper's Bazaar for linking to Entertainment.ie Kate Moss pics

Entertainment.ie is also being sued for publishing the images.

PLAYBOY MAGAZINE IS suing the publisher of Harper’s Bazaar over its online use of photos of Kate Moss.

The suit claims that the magazine violated Playboy’s exclusive right to publish the pictures when it linked to a story by Irish website Entertainment.ie, which is also the subject of a legal action by Playboy.

The photos were taken by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcos Piggott for the publication’s 60th anniversary issue.

The suit alleges Harper’s posted on its website a clothed photo of the 40-year-old supermodel from the Playboy shoot but added a hyperlink that took readers to another website showing the nude and partially nude photo spread.

The New York Daily News has seen details of the suit which says that Harper’s Bazaar linking to Entertainment.ie “cannot be justified”.

The Harper’s Bazaar lawsuit seeks $150,000 per photo infringed.
