A THEATRE IN Scotland has apologised after it accidentally sent a pornographic film to as many as 100 families.
The Scotmans reports that the DVDs should have contained a recording of a school performance.
However, due to a production error, they contained a film entitled “The Bondage Mistress”.
One parent told the paper that it was “disgusting filth” and ‘not amateur porn, but the proper thing’.
He added that the film had been addressed to his ten-year-old daughter.
The editing company has taken full responsibility for the gaffe, according to Sky News, and apologised for any distress caused by the “highly inappropriate and inaccurate material being sent out”.
The mistake wasn’t noticed until two days after they were sent out.
BBC News reports police said that no crime has been committed.
The station said a spokesperson for the theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, said immediate action was taken “to recall all of the DVDs, sought the advice of the police and notified those affected customers as a matter of urgency”.
The error occurred at the third party place of manufacture and we have demanded that the DVD production company launches a full investigation into the incident.”
